A lot of students need to furnish their accommodation, not least at the start of the semester. The challenge is often to get their newly purchased furniture home smoothly. Now students who shop at IKEA Umeå during week four can get help with transporting their new furnishing at no cost.
This student discount has a very simple arrangement. When the student has collected the furnishing they want, they pay as usual at the checkout and take the goods, their receipt and the Mecenat card to Customer Service where they order delivery – at no extra cost. The goods are then dispatched at fixed times the week after and delivered to three addresses in residential areas in Umeå, which mostly consists of student housing.

And with a student budget it can be experienced as quite expensive with regular home transport. The offer of free shipping for students applies to purchases made during week four and delivery is made to three strategic locations during three fixed times during week five.
