Now it becomes much easier for students to get a discount when visiting McDonald’s. To get their student discount they register as students in the McDonald’s app, and then it’s just to scan a QR code when they order – either at the cash register or at the ordering terminals in the restaurants.
The various offers will be customized after a number of different parameters – e.g. postal code, food preference – which gives great opportunities to tailor the student discounts at a later stage. Each time they scan their QR code, they also automatically collect points in McDonald’s loyalty program McPoints. The points can then be exchanged for free products.
