Swedish Students Saved 1,2 MSEK with Mecenat on Black Friday
Last week, the Mecenat students broke another Black Friday record of discount usage and savings.
On Black Friday – that one day – the students took advantage of tracked online student discounts 7853 times, via Mecenat’s mobile app or web site, to a total order value of 5,5 million SEK.
Turnover up 34% Compared to Last Year’s Black Friday
Compared to last year’s Black Friday (an all time high, at the time) the total tracked online sales increased by a stunning 34%. But more importantly, the students made savings of 1,2 millon SEK, by utilising the student discounts on already reduced prices.
Student Friendly Brands Reach Through the Noise
The message that student discounts apply on top of Black Friday campaigns was communicated successfully in Mecenat’s channels, in the midst of the Black Friday buzz. Students could be reached via paid search, social media, email and push notifications and participating brands increased their sales.
