Students shopping habits during Christmas and end of the year-sales
At Mecenat, we take great pride in the fact that we know the students well. One way that we use to talk to the target group is through surveys that we send out to a randomly selected group of students. One of our latest survey investigated the student’s habits when it comes to shopping during Christmas and end of the year-sales.
We learned a few interesting things from this. It turns out that half of the group has bought something during the end of the year-sale but only 30 % of these were planned purchases, 70 % were spontaneous shopping when the students saw something that they were interested in.
We also learned that the students prefer to buy both Christmas presents and products from the sale in retail stores (50 %), 25 % bought everything online and the remaining 25 % bought from both places.
