The Mecenat app wins award in Europe
Recently EYCA held its yearly conference I Gdansk, Poland, during which, Mecenat received an award for their app in the category "Knowledge of young people". The winner was voted by EYCA's 39 European member organizations.
The motivation said: "The great capacity demonstrated by Mecenat to use the new technologies both for dissemination of the Card and increase of advantages/discounts, but also to use this device for getting to know the youngsters expectations at several levels. They are a leading organization in terms of Data Driven discounts."
-It is very honouring to receive recognition on a European level for our work on the technical development which stands behind the discounts and services that we provide for our target group. It has been our distinct focus over a long period of time and our IT-department is doing a solid job with fast development and integration of new techniques in the app which is central in our communication, says Jonas Levin, CEO at Mecenat AB.
European Youth Card Association, EYCA represents 39 youth organizations in Europe and works towards advancing and promoting the mobility and active citizenships for young people. More than six million young people holds a EYCA card. The member organization produces the card and gives young people access to discounts and benefits in the categories travel, hotels, culture, services and products, and even work towards bettering the conditions for young people. Mecenat represents EYCA in Sweden and Norway.
The Mecenat app has by today more than 970,000 downloads and is a natural part of students' everyday lives.
